High-ranking diplomats from the People’s Republic of China visited the Murraylands recently as part of tour program.
The visitors were officials attached to the Chinese Peoples Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and were hosted by members of the Australia-China Friendship Society in Murray Bridge, Brisbane, Melbourne and Hobart.
They were reviewing a tour program designed to pave the way for groups of Chinese people to visit Australia over the next few years. The program is designed to bring cultural, social, educational and business opportunities within the community and to the wider environment in areas of mutual cultural exchanges.
Several organisations and tourism representatives contributed to the tour program.
The Chinese guests departed with positive attitudes for developing plans towards future cultural and friendship exchanges with people and associations in Murray Bridge.
